Peter S. Giakoumis is a New York based independent filmmaker and writer. Constantinople 1453: “On the Eve of the Fall” is his third major project and his first music video. His path to movie making came from his love of TV and film. As a child he was influenced by classic 60’s and 70’s TV re-runs, and always enjoyed watching movies with an eye on how they were made. His favorite genres include; Thrillers, Historical Drama, Film Noir, Sword and Sandal, and Martial Arts Films.

 

He studied film at the School of Visual Arts, (SVA) in NYC, and directed his first dramatic short FILM: "THE TOWER PROTOCOL" shot in 2004, it was selected and screened by; The GCC Annual Independent Film Showcase 2004, and ICON-23 Film Track 2004. In 2005 he produced and hosted his own TV show on local cable TV. In 2006 he joined the production crew of his first feature length movie as an Assistant Director on the indie cult favorite 'Multiplex". He continues to develop and write screenplays, and works on ancient and medieval clothing and armor for various groups on and off screen.

 

He is a graduate of St. John’s University and holds a Masters Degree in International Politics from the City University of NY at Queens College.

 

 

 

Billy Chrissochos is a cofounder of the heavy metal band, Phoenix Reign. Constantinople 1453 (on the Eve of the Fall) is his second creative film project and first music video which finds this NYC native at the helm as both co-director and executive producer. He is also an actor and independent film producer who starred in the action, adventure, comedy Attila Attacks and Phoenix Reign’s popular “Masquerade Angel” video (both directed by George Selinsky). More recently he has been collaborating with Greek Canadian neo-classical composer, Panayoti Karousos, in organizing Hellenic themed operas for New York’s festive and important Greek Parade celebrations.

 

Billy was a radio personality for Aktina FM WNYE 91.5 FM and hosted his own show on Hellas FM, “the Quest for Prometheus”. He also produced and directed the internet program of the same name that searched for the truth in modern politics, which long time friend and collaborator, Chris Pollatos, hosted. With a degree in Political Science and History and over 14 years of banking experience in the world of finance he also finds time to serve his local community through his involvement in various cultural organizations. When not shredding on his axe he is writing screenplays, drawing and leisurely watching nature shows about large, predatory fish.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Chris Pollatos is a native New Yorker from Astoria, Queens. Chris graduated Queens College (CUNY) with BS and MA degrees in Geology, Education, and Administration. Currently, Chris teaches in Long Island. He is involved in Hellenic cultural activities, which includes film and TV production.

 

From a very young age, Chris was taught piano and instantly fell in love with Classical music. As the years went by, he grew a passion for Heavy Metal and Classic Rock. Accordingly, he learned to play the guitar and bass guitar, and went on to become the co-founder of the Hellenic-oriented rock band, Phoenix Reign (along with long time friend for over 20 years, Vassilios Chrissochos).

 

Currently, Chris is producer and project manager of a short film/ music video, “Constantinople 1453 (On the Eve of the Fall)”, which features Phoenix Reign’s epic song from their album Destination Unknown. Chris has also recently produced several independent works, such as the film “Attila Attacks” and music video “Masquerade Angel” (both directed by George Selinsky) where he was featured as an actor as well. Additionally, Chris hosted two internet programs: the “Quest for Prometheus” program which discusses Hellenic issues, and “Have Faith”, a question and answer program on the Orthodox Christian faith.
